The General Secretary of Fiji Taxi Union has hit out at the Chief Executive Officer of Land Transport Authority for saying that taxi operators cannot ask for a taxi fare increase on the basis of improving standards.

Rishi Ram said it seems Abraham Simpson does not know what he is talking about as he is not the person who will be deciding on the taxi fare hike.

Ram's comments comes after Simpson yesterday stressed that taxis should be in better conditions before the Fiji Taxi Union asks for a taxi fare increase.
