An association of Tokyo-based taxi operators decided Friday to make all their 34,000 taxi cabs nonsmoking on Jan. 7, association officials said.
     The Tokyo Taxi Association, covering 389 of Tokyo's 436 taxi operators, made the decision at a board meeting Friday.
